What Is Les Mills PUMP
If you’ve heard of BODYPUMP from around local gym’s, the home version of it is coming to a home near you. It’s called Les Mills Pump Beachbody workout. The kit comes with two 5 pound weights and two 10 pound weights. The barbell is made in such a way that it is easy to store away and won’t clutter your fitness area.
The direction of Beachbody is that there will soon be more kinds of equipment-based workouts in the pipeline. What this means is that usually, the equipment is a separate purchase. With Les Mills PUMP, the barbell, weights, and clips come with the DVD’s and nutrition guides.
The goal is to get everything you need without any extra hiccup to prevent you from committing to a regular exercise routine. That’s the purpose. With Les Mills PUMP there is a solid platform to try seeing that for this workout, you do it only three times a week rather than the P90X six days a week scheduled program. P90X2 aims for a 5-day workout schedule so if fitness is your thing, the Les Mills PUMP adds some flexibility for people on the go. Each session is about an hour so have that in mind for your own three day plan.

Each of the five 10 Minute Trainer Workouts Reviewed
The Tony Horton 10 minute trainer workout program by Beachbody is known for being the busy person’s solution to fitness and exercise. Made up of five 10 minute workouts, it’s designed to target your entire body with precise moves all derived from Tony’s best selling workout program P90X. The workouts in of themselves would do very little in the way of results, but when combined together they deliver extraordinary, mind boggling results that would otherwise seem unreal. Within this review we will examine each workout and briefly explain what they entail and how they work.
First up in the 10 minute trainer program is the total body workout. The principal in this workout is to sculpt your body from head to toe with 10 moves all lasting 1 minute long for a total of 10 minutes. This goes contrary to the typical 50-60 minute time allotment most total body workouts need. Working in a head to toe fashion each of the 10 exercises target a particular muscle group. By the time the 10 minutes are done you have hit every major muscle group in a short but powerful way.
Next up in the 10 minute trainer lineup is the abs workout routine. In less time it takes you to get a latte at Starbucks Tony delivers a perfectly balanced blend of nontraditional abs and core exercise moves. This workout is a nonstop ride that has you on your back, sides, hands and knees. Tony does not hold back with 20 exercise moves all lasting 30 seconds long with no break in between. If this doesn’t light your mid-section on fire, nothing will!
The 3rd workout is called 10 minute cardio. It may seem shocking to think that in just 10 minutes you can work up a great sweat, but you can with this DVD. With the use of the specially designed resistance belt and cardio belt adapter for added resistance all of the moves are greatly enhanced. The idea here is to forget about boring treadmill or elliptical exercises and to move quickly through a series of nonstop moves that keep your heart rate up the entire time.
Moving down the line of the body the 4th workout in the series is the Lower Body workout. This workout exclusively targets your thighs, butt, hips, and calves from top to bottom. You will immediately feel the burn in your lower body as soon as the warm up is done. Each workout was specifically selected from Tony’s P90X Legs workout which is a killer in itself. He only chose the exercises he felt would deliver the biggest bang for your buck in this workout.
Last but not least is the 5th 10 minute trainer 10 minute workout called yoga flex. Yoga flex is a personal favorite of many. Using approximately 10 moves you run through the standard in strech moves and yoga moves. This workout is perfect for anyone that is just starting to introduce themselves to yoga and needs to get limber but has very little flexibility. The moves are not complex and require very little balancing. The routine alternates each exercise from yoga to a traditional stretch move thereby keeping mixing it up and keeping your body guessing.
The P90X Workout vs the Insanity Workout
Neither the insanity workout nor the p90x workout is better than the other. Both are considered extreme workouts, but each takes a different approach. It’s basically just a choice of which method you prefer to get in shape, and what your ultimate fitness goals are. Both cost about the same, and both problems produce the results they promise. You will need a great deal of willpower and determination to do either program, both are challenging even for people who are considered to be in good shape.
If you want to gain muscle size and muscle definition, which is usually a guy’s goal, then the p90x workout may be a better choice for you. The p90x workout incorporates weight lifting into the program so there is a greater chance of building larger muscles. Larger muscles don’t necessarily mean stronger, they are simply larger. Since weights are incorporated, the workouts tend to be slower paced than the insanity workout.
The insanity workout is faster paced, with no weight lifting, you use your bodies own natural resistance. It’s an aptly named program as the pace is insanity a first. The insanity workout is a higher impact workout, so if you have knee problems, this is not the program for you. This program demands more energy, but then, it’s a month shorter too, so if your in a hurry to get in shape, Insanity would be a better choice for you.
